Gedanken zur Wahlwerbung.
Es kann nun wahrlich nicht über die Vielschichtigkeit von Plakaten zur Kommunalwahl in Quedlinburg gemeckert werden, würde wahrscheinlich auch keinem einfallen, sagen diese doch viel über die Parteien selbst aus. Da finden sich nicht nur die üblichen Forderungen und Ansprüche, welchen man sich stellen möchte, sondern es werden auch Aussagen getroffen, wie historische Vorfahren wählen würden (CDU), wenn sie denn gewählt hätten und das nicht nur sich selbst. Einmal davon abgesehen, das besagter Vorfahre, welcher Quedlinburg zu seiner Lieblingspfalz erkoren hatte, eher mit der Streitaxt gestimmt hätte und so manches, heutige, bürgerliche Ansinnen glattweg auf den Weg allen Irdischen geschickt hätte, konnte dieser nicht einmal lesen und schreiben. Wer möchte sich ernsthaft auf dieses Niveau begeben? Bedacht sei aber auch, das die meisten Stämme, welche besagten König zu wählen hatten, nicht einmal anwesend waren, allein von zwei wurde er gewählt, zum König des Ostfrankenreiches. Aber so ist es mit Mehrheiten, Gesichtskenntnisse sollte man nicht missen lassen, beim Griff in die Mottenkiste.
Nun ja, wenn einem die Gegenwart nichts zu bieten hat, besinnt man sich meistens auf die Vergangenheit, und fängt an diese zu verklären, anstatt sich der Zukunft zu besinnen, in dem man sich darauf besinnt, das deren Voraussetzungen in der Gegenwart geschaffen werden.
Wie dem auch sein, auch dieses ist noch zu überbieten und das mit einer simplen, persönlichen Frage, wie zu lesen ist. Ja, “meckerst Du noch, oder wählst Du schon?” (FDP) Hier wird nicht nur Volkes Nähe suggeriert, welche für diese Partei eigentlich völlig unüblich ist, sondern auch reichlich platt gefragt.
Da nun erst am 07.06.2009 gewählt werden kann, bleibt bis dahin nur meckern übrig, dann kann man wählen und anschließend gleich weiter meckern? Was für eine Alternative, wählen oder meckern und wer falsch wählt ist ohnehin der ewige Querulant? Nur was ist falsch und was ist richtig? Aber nicht nur das, hier wird sich einfach über den Bürger gestellt, er (der Bürger) zum Stimmvieh degradiert und eine jede Kritik, außerhalb von Wahlen, als Meckern abgewertet. Nicht nur das ganz vergessen wird, dass Meckern auch nur eine Form der Kritik ist, eine etwas anders artikulierte zwar, aber immerhin, offenbart diese Aussage eine bürgerferne und nicht gerade sensible Umgangsart den Bürgern gegenüber. Pistole auf die Brust, entweder es wird gewählt, oder das Etikett des ewigen Meckerers wird einem angeheftet.
Nun ist seit nicht geraumer Zeit zu beobachten, dass die Wahlbeteiligung nicht nur bei Kommunalwahlen rückläufig ist, auch zu den letzten Wahlen hier in Quedlinburg sind die meisten Wähler einfach zu Hause geblieben, warum wohl? Weil sie lieber in ihrem Stübchen weiter „meckern“ wollen? Sicher nicht, eher ist es Politikverdrossenheit, welche viele Bürger von der Wahlurne fern hält. Eingefahrene politische Gleise und die entsprechenden politischen Rituale mögen ein Grund sein, ein anderer ist ein ständig, wachsender Vertrauensverlust in die politischen Institutionen und Strukturen, auf Grund gesammelter Erfahrungen, aber der wichtigste Grund ist die damit verbundene Beschränktheit demokratischer Verhältnisse. Dem Bürger wird es gestattet alle Jahre wieder zu wählen, ansonsten hat er sich in sein Kämmerchen zurückzuziehen, dem zu harren was da kommen möge. Und solange die Einbeziehung einer Mehrheit von Bürger in politische Entscheidungsfindung und Entscheidungen nur darin besteht, das sie wählen gehen dürfen und ansonsten ihre Geschicke den Gewählten überlassen müssen, braucht man sich nicht zu wundern, das immer weniger Menschen sich an Wahlen beteiligen. Wie oft waren Sprüche zu hören, wie sie heute wider auf Wahlplakaten zu finden sind und wie oft wurde manches Ansinnen verraten und Versprechen nicht eingehalten? Von den oben genannten Sprüchen, die an Plattitüde wohl kaum zu überbieten sind, einmal abgesehen, welche Gruppierung hat den Neues zu bieten, welche Gruppierung hat in der Vergangenheit bewiesen, dass sie die Interessen der Bürger vertritt und nicht nur einiger weniger? Wie haben die einzelnen Gruppierungen die Interessen der Bürger in der Vergangenheit wahrgenommen? Die Messlatte sollte ruhig an den Taten angelegt werden, nicht an den Versprechungen. Und um konkret zu werden, wer wollte in jüngster Vergangenheit kommunales Eigentum der Daseinsvorsorge verkaufen und wer hat diesen Verkauf, im Rahmen einer außerparlamentarischen Opposition und im Interesse der Stadt, mit Unterstützung vieler Bürger verhindert?
Ja, bei allen Wahlversprechungen, bei allen Erwägungen für die Zukunft, es sollte vergangenes Tun nicht ohne Berücksichtigung bleiben, genauso wenig wie Interessenübereinstimmungen, welche sich aus sozialen und wirtschaftlichen Stellungen ergeben. Was eigentlich nichts anderes bedeutet, als sich nicht für fremde Interessen, gegen eigene Interessen vereinnahme lassen.
